LIVIGNO, THE RESULTS OF FREERIDE WORLD QUALIFIER 4 *

Nearly 6 hours of race for the descent in Val Cantone, which involved 80 riders, both skiers and snowboarders, from all over the world.

The first time of Livigno in an international freeride competition worked out perfectly. The race of the Freeride World Tour Qualifier 4* started this morning in Val Cantone (on the Carosello 3000 side) and continued throughout the afternoon. 80 riders in the race, coming from all over the world, divided into the category Ski Men, Ski Women, Snowboard Men, Snowboard Women. The final ranking was determined by the descent time, from the choice of the descent line and by the tricks that were performed during the descent.
The jury awarded the victory to the skier Dennis Risvoll with 89.33 points, to the skier Laure Vailly with 83.33 points, to the snowboarder Johannes Schnitzer with 81.00 points and to the snowboarder Anna Orlova with 75.00 points.
The rescue service during the race was provided by the State Forestry Department, with a rescue helicopter configurated for the snowy mountains (winch, specialist, technician and pilots) and with its specialized staff Meteomont which helped the Livigno's Avalanche office in monitoring the forecasts, the snowpack stability and the issue of the local Avalanche bulletin.

We stongly believed, since last year, in the Freeride Project, which we presented in preview into the Alps and has served as an example to many other locations. The today's race and, in general, the Freeride Festival that is taking place in Livigno, represent the continuation of our project. I thank the State Forestry Department, the Mountain Guides, the staff of Mountain rescue, and all those who have worked and contributed to the success of the event. "
