Winter season 2018/2019 in Livigno started with a bang. On the 26th October more than 40cm of powder snow covered every autumn color, catapulting Livigno into a completely winter atmosphere. Snow-covered trees, pristine slopes, and fences covered with soft snowflakes.
Despite the official opening was scheduled for the 1st December 2017, the lure of thick blanket of snow and the desire of putting skis on, obliged us to an earlier opening of the four lifts of Sitas Ski Area (Gondola Livigno Centro Tagliede, Gondola Tagliede Costaccia and chairlifts Valandrea Vetta and Fontane Vetta), that allowed the first skiers to enjoy perfect groomed slopes for free.
For weeks the snow groomers worked non-stop on both mountain’s sides Mottolino Fun Mountain and Carosello 3000, to give you perfect slopes, ready to welcome skiers and snowboarders. Here you can find the complete list of the lifts open in next days:

NEWS LIFTS 2018/19
Big news about Mottolino Fun Mountain. Since this winter, will be possible to ski on two new lifts, the first one is “Yepi Lift”, that allow the connection with Passo Eira and arrival of Gondola Mottolino, and the second one is “Easy Lift”, that will connect the arrival of Gondola Mottolino with the arrival of chairlift Trepalle. More information will follow about the opening date.
CAROSELLO 3000
Carosello 3000 informs that, due to the necessary tests to increase the capacity of the new gondola lift, it won't be possible to open the Carosello 3000 lifts, the Blesaccia I and II chairlifts, Federia and Baby Lac Salin, which will open as soon as the technical tests are completed by the Ministry of Transport. It is estimated that the opening will take place between 5th and 7ht December.
CROSS COUNTRY TRACK
Even the cross-country track, which was already open on 13th October thanks to the Snowfarm technique (https://www.livigno.eu/en/snowfarm), received a natural boost, growing from 2km to 30km in a few days, ready for the 29th edition of Sgambeda, the historical cross country ski race that is taking place in these days. Since a month and a half, is possible to see many international teams training on the track of natural snow, in view of the world cup races, taking advantage of the Dope Free effect that is achieved thanks to high altitude training, at 1816mt.
