Livigno hosts the moguls European Cup and warms up for the 2026 Olympics

The winter season continues with a welcome return, which brings on the snows of Livigno some of the best talents of the specialty, inaugurating a special four-year period.

The double appointment with the European Cup of moguls, scheduled on 16 and 17 March, opens the show on the Olympic  in Livigno, in a four-year path that will accompany the resort until the beginning of the Games. Years after hosting the Coppa Italia, the moguls come back to animate the winter in Valtellina, in a tasty anticipation of what we can admire during the appointment of Milan Cortina 2026. 

Two races, moguls on 16 March and dual moguls on 17 March, which will offer a double spectacle, thanks to the joint organisation of the men's and women's competitions. This is also a special opportunity to get to know a sport that is upswing, such as freestyle, and in particular one of the disciplines that will characterise Livigno's Olympic experience.
Even if the European Cup stage is not yet a test event for the Olympics, it is the first important appointment of a long journey, which during the course of the seasons will bring the resort and its guests closer to the disciplines that Livigno will host during the Games. The competitions will also be a precious test for the ski-area Carosello 3000, the venue that in 2026 will host the moguls and aerials competitions, allowing to test already several parameters in view of the Olympic Games.

The two-day event in Livigno is the first step on the path towards the Games, which will be the main topic of media interest for the next four years. An interest that will grow over time, becoming an essential awareness in the life of the community and a valuable tool to improve the experience of the guests, who come to Livigno from every corner of Europe. 
And it is nice to underline, finally, how the four-year Olympic period fits perfectly in the growth of the resort, celebrating an important history, which over the decades has always had a deep connection with the world of freestyle.
