TRAINING CAMP IN LIVIGNO FOR THE METALLEGHE SANITARS

The volleyball  team is training in Livigno in view of the 71st  Italian Female Volleyball Championship series A1. On Saturday, September 12 is held an exhibition game against the Slovenian OK Calcit Team

Two weeks before the restart of the championship, Promoball VBF is in Livigno for a training camp until 13 September 2015. The red and white athletes are training in the Alpine biggest open-air gym to get back in shape for the 71st Female Volleyball Championship.

Training at altitude improves the athletic performance  by acting on the oxygen transport mechanisms and is particularly useful for sports that require an intense and constant aerobic activity.

Athletes under the orders of coaches Barbieri and Parazzoli will alternate morning weights and pool sessions at Aquagranda Sports Fitness Centre with afternoon training sessions at the Sports Hall of Livigno. On Saturday, September 12 at 16.00 takes place an exhibition game against the Slovenian OK Calcit Team at the Sports Hall Teola.

This summer I got to know some team players and the team management during the event In City Golf Livigno - said Luca Moretti, President of APT Livigno - and now we are completely in sync. The very fact, that Italian champions such as Simona Gioli and Ludovica Dalia approached the golf sport in a day that was a mix of sports and entertainment, has been an important added value for our cooperation. Livigno thanks to its altitude (1816 meters AMSL) is  focusing a lot on sports tourism offering the chance to perfectly train at altitude both in the mountain and in the many sport facilities that we are going to improve next year with a new athletics track”
