Spring in Livigno
While other ski resorts can already smell the end of the season, Livigno feels the spring as one of the best periods of the year to ski. Among beautiful sunny days on the slopes and on the shelters’ terraces, the party continues inside the apres-skis. With all the events and promotions happening for the end of the season, spring in Livigno becomes a moment full of freedom and emotions.
Here are the 5 main reasons why you should visit Livigno in April.
1.Promotions
Spring in Livigno is all about offers. From the 11th of April to the 3rd of May it’s time for Skipass Free. How does it work? Book a minimum of 4 nights in a hotel or 7 nights in an apartment and we’ll give you the ski-pass for free! Don’t waste your time and contact the hotels or apartments who participate to the initiative.
2. The pleasure of skiing
Spring is one of the best periods to ski. Days are longer, the sun shines and the pleasant temperatures give you the priceless sensation to ride with a t-shirt only. And we’re not lacking of the fearless ones who show up at the lifts even with.. a swim suit! What about the snow? The 3000m altitude reached by Carosello 3000 allows the snow to last longer in perfect conditions till the middle of May.
3. Eating on the terraces
Spring is also the best period to enjoy a lunch with your family or your friends outside the shelters. So don’t miss the chance to try the local delicacies being comfortably relaxed on the terraces of the biggest shelters on the top of the mountain, like Carosello 3000 and Costaccia, or the characteristic huts in the middle of the mountain likeTea Borch, Cip&Ciop, Tea Berghutte and Scialtek. Without mentioning the restaurants at the bottom of the valley at the departure of the cable cars like Stalet andTagliede.
4. Party and apres-ski
Spring in Livigno is a big party-season. There are plenty of occasions to have fun from the top to the bottom of the mountain. The innovation of this season is definitely the Surfer’s Bay set up on the lower terrace of the Carosello 3000 restaurant shelter. A unique area with a beach reproduction that offers DJ sets and Live Music from Sunday to Friday. Party every day at the big snowy terrace of Tagliede Restaurant and obviously at the greatest fun arena of Livigno: the Stalet apres-ski.
Stalet is the place to be, offering the best parties of Livigno. On Thursday the 9th of April it’s expected the annual meeting for the Happy Birthday Stalet – 13 years of Apres-ski, while Sunday the 12th and Thursday the 16th are two days dedicated to Vodka Wyborowa. On Tuesday the 15th the party will move to the snowy terrace at the start of the gondola Livigno Centro for a wide Spring Party. The big closure party – End of the Season Party – will be on the 25th of April.
5. Events
Not only parties but skiing events too. On Sunday the 12th of April there will be the Old School Day, a super fun day on the slopes of the whole ski area where everyone will show off their apparel and equipment straight from the 80s. On Saturday 25th of April will be the moment of – The Guardian -, the most awaited event by the snowboarders from all around Italy that will lead up to the handover of the Funky ring. Until the 24th of April you can continue to join the my3000 app mobile contestsSki&Win and Vertical Challenge (every Tuesday) and try to win the super prizes of Apo Snow, Nike, Dragon Alliance and Level Gloves. Last but not least, all the big-small personal experiences like freeride skiing, heliski and paragliding flights that assume a special atmosphere during spring time.
Even though the ski-area of Livigno will close on the 3rd of May with the end of the resort lift pass, Carosello 3000 will extend the opening of some of the ski lifts till Sunday 10th of May with a special favored ski-pass of the value of 10,00 €.
