Just a little more than two weeks to go before the start of the 21st Stralivigno, the runners are buzzing! The available bibs, originally set for a maximum number of 400 in order to ensure the safety of all, were sold out in a few hours and, after the organizing committee has reopened registration for another 100 "extra" bibs, also sold out in record time, it is confirmed that on Saturday 24 July in Livigno the runners at the starting line will be 500. A sold-out that underlines once again that the Stralivigno is a race loved by expert and amateur runners and, above all, an excellent opportunity to test oneself again after a long period of forced stop.
The occasion is also to challenge oneself and many other running lovers on a 21 km ring course, which surrounds the "basin" of Livigno and gives the possibility to admire breathtaking landscapes, because even beauty can be a way to feel less fatigue. The maximum altitude is 2,000 meters, which will arrive from a path in a slight but steady climb, alternating between paths, dirt roads and stretches of pure off-road after an initial piece to be addressed on the bike path. But in addition to the panorama and the fascinating nature, Livigno has always had that extra something given by the excellence it represents in terms of athletic preparation.
And to allow the participants of the Stralivigno to breathe this air of pure technique and pure competitiveness, the Marathon Club Livigno and the Tourism Board have arranged to set up start and finish line at the athletics track of the renowned Aquagranda Active You sports center, which will also be the nerve center for the event as it will host the race office which will be open on Friday from 9.00 to 19.00, and on Saturday from 9.00 to 15.00. The start of the race, Saturday 24, is scheduled for 16.00.
Those who have completed the registration, among other things, have also managed to win a competitor's pack that contains a beautiful technical backpack, pizzoccheri Valtellinesi and products of partners Frisia water and ProAction. On the website www.stralivigno.it, ProAction has made available to all registered participants a nutritional plan in view of the race, to avoid being surprised by fatigue and to be able to give their best.
