OPENING OF THE NEW BIATHLON ARENA IN LIVIGNO

Two athletes from the Italian National Biathlon team, home champions Dorothea Wierer and Thomas Bormolini, will be the first to shoot their rifles, along with the other biathletes from the Livigno Team: Saverio Zini, Paolo Rodigari, Rudy Zini

As of 2.30p.m, it will be possible to try out the polygon following our champions’ advice, and even kids can have a go in a completely safe setting.

“I’m delighted!” declared Dorothea Wierer, “As I’m now lucky enough to be able to do all my training in Livigno, not simply cross-country skiing and the part in Aquagranda. I feel completely at home here. The opening of the polygon also means foreign national teams will be able to come here for their retreats, giving us a wonderful opportunity to talk with them to share ideas”.

“The opening of the polygon,” declared Livigno tourist board Chairman Luca Moretti “enriches Livigno’s offer of different winter disciplines. Livigno is well-known abroad for the Biathlon thanks to the success of Dorothea, whom we have been sponsoring for the past 3 years. I’m hoping it will also be valued for the new Biathlon Arena which will allow the many national teams to train here. Development of new infrastructures in Livigno is continuing, further confirming its identity as a quality sports preparation centre. Our next steps will be an athletics track and football pitch located near Aquagranda”.
