Livigno Pre-opening of lifts and slope
In Livigno, the official opening of the lifts and slopes is scheduled for Saturday 1st December 2018, but the lure of the abundant snowfall of previous weeks encouraged the Sitas Ski Area to offer a free Pre-opening of the "Bellavista" slope to satisfy the desire for snow of the most assiduous skiers.
Until Sunday 18th November 2018, included, you can ski for FREE at the Valandrea - Vetta especially on the "Bellavista" slope, accessible via the "Livigno Tagliede" and "Tagliede-Costaccia" gondolas and the "Valandrea-Vetta" chair lift. Even the Refuge Costaccia, for the occasion will open its doors in advance, to delight the palates of skiers between one descent and another.
The pre-opening of the Bellavista track has not only attracted Alpine skiing enthusiasts, but also the athletes of the Women's B team of the Swiss Alpine Ski Team, and some World Cup athletes, including Camille Rast, Simone Wild, Vanessa Marina Kasper and Andrea Ellenberger. The Swiss athletes have reached the Little Tibet to take advantage of the impeccable conditions of the slope, and to train at high altitude, to be ready for the upcoming races of the season. The slope is reserved for them from early morning until 09:00, while snowboarders and skiers will be able to satisfy their desire for snow from 09:00 to 16:00.

The skiers, that join the slopes on the 1st of December, will have the opportunity to see the colorful start of the race Sgambeda live. This Nordic Ski race has reached its 29th edition and this year it returns to the free style technique.
For who wishes to alternate the alpine ski with the cross country, the track for the narrow skis is open since the 13th of October 2018 allowing altitude training to the teams arriving from all over Europe.
