Thanks to Roberto Nani, Jole Galli, Maurizio Bormolini, the twins Bormolini and their sports from skiing to snowboarding, from cross-country to biathlon, Livigno is traveling with them all over the world. They are young, dynamic,  determined and above all with a Livigno DNA.

They are young, dynamic and gusty bringing the name of Livigno around the world. They are the winter sports athletes who Livigno has chosen  as testimonial:  Roberto Nani, Jole Galli, Thomas Bormolini, Maurizio Bormolini, Saverio Zini, Nicolas e Thomas Bormolini and Simone Urbani. They all were born and raised in Livigno, nowadays they are gaining importance in their sports from alpine skiing to biathlon, cross country skiing to snowboarding. The 2014/15 winter season, that has just ended, was full of surprises and exciting challenges and our athletes of Livigno gave their best. Let’s look closely at the best results and at their advices on why to come to Livigno.

Roberto Nani (alpine ski )

Born on  14th December 1988 is a member of the Italian Alpine Ski team and is one of the top 15 giant slalom skier worldwide. Best results: 7° GS Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Ger), 5° GS Kranjska Gora (Slo), 6° GS Alta Badia (Ita). 6° GS World Championship Vail/Beaver Creek (Usa). “The good thing about this season was the continuity in the results which allow me to stay in the top 15 worldwide. Now I'm more aware and my goal is to fight to remain among the best ones in the world.”

Why Livigno? “Because Livigno is a paradise both for athletes and families”.

Maurizio Bormolini (snowboard)

Born on  24th February 1994 he is a member of the Snowboard Italian Team in. He represents the true revelation of the season winning 6 gold medals in the Europa Cup: two of this in Livigno, two in Kayseri (Tur) , one in Racines (Ita)  and one in Marianske Lazne (Cze) . Moreover he won one gold medal, three silver and two bronze in FIS races in the GS and PSL, and a silver in the World Junior Championships parallel slalom.

Why Livigno? “The winter season is always guaranteed with snow from November to May."

Jole Galli (alpine ski )

Born on  26th July 1995 is a Team C member of the  Italian Alpine Ski team. In 2014 she became the junior Italian champion of giant slalom. “I am satisfied with my winter season which had a bad start because of an accident. But it was a crescendo of results and emotions. Now I aim higher and higher.

Why Livigno? “Because in Livigno the slope are right at your doorstep!”

Saverio Zini (biathlon)

Born on 11th June 1994 I member of the juniors  Italian Team. This season he ranked 16th in the Junior World Championships in Belarus, 8th absolute in Italian Championships in Val Martello and won two gold medals and two bronzes at the Italian Championships in the junior category. "It was an important season for me I could improve my technical level, gain experience competing at important races such as the World Cup”.

Why Livigno? “Because you can visit wonderful places”

Thomas Bormolini (biathlon)

He is member of Italian Biathlon Team and ranked 12th in 4x7.5km Relay Kontiolahti (FIN), 19th in the individual 20 km Oestersund (Swe), 21st in the 10 km sprint Oberhof (Ger).

Why Livigno? “ Because in November the cross-country tracks are open”

Nicolas Bormolini (cross country)

Born on 4th August 1994 he is member of the Scame - Ski Trab Marathon Team Livigno with which he follows the Swix Ski Classic circuit. This year he ranked 14th in the Swix Ski Classics Circuit overall ranking finishing 14th at Transjurassienne, 6th at Millegrobbe and 14th at the Prologue of La Sgambeda teamed with his twin brother Thomas.

Why Livigno? “Because Livigno is the top for a cross-country skier."

Thomas Bormolini (cross country)

Born on 4th August 1994 he is member of the Scame - Ski Trab Marathon Team Livigno with which he follows the Swix Ski Classic circuit. This year he ranked 12th in the Swix Ski Classics Circuit overall ranking finishing 11th at Transjurassienne, 9th at Millegrobbe and 14th at the Prologue of La Sgambeda teamed with his twin brother Nicolas.

Why Livigno? “Because Livigno is the best place for altitude training”

Simone Urbani (cross country)

Born on 19th June 1992  he was summoned by the Italian Team after the brilliant results in the Italian Cup and ranked 24th in his first World Cup race in Davos in Sprint Skating. "This was a big surprise for me and helped me to face the season in which I managed to enter in the 15 (14 °) in the sprint race in Russia.
