FISICHELLA: " LIVIGNO GAVE ME THE EMOTION OF DRIVING A F1 ON THE SNOW"

Today an incredible snow-show of the Maranello's Red car, during the "Scuderia Ferrari On Ice" event. In Livigno's valley, the Ferrari engine played an enchanting "music", and the audience went crazy for Giancarlo Fisichella's performance.

The world premiere of a Ferrari F1 on the snow has been in Livigno. Today, in the afternoon, the Maranello's Red Car whizzed in a circuit made of snow, created for the occasion in the parking area of Mottolino Fun Mountain, with gymkhanas, straight lines and pit stops, and then speeded along the shopping streets of the town, crowded by courious and astonished public standing on the street sides.

In the driver's seat of F60, there was Giancarlo Fisichella, who already drove the same car in the 2009 when he took over from Felipe Massa, in the season during the crash of the Brazilian driver.

The F60, with 800 horsepower and 8 cylinder, key player of the event "Scuderia Ferrari On Ice", was equipped with the Sottozero Pirelli studded tyres, with 610 studs for each tyre.

The first start on the white ground for Giancarlo Fisichella and for the Ferrari history, has been today at 16:00 with a clear sky and with a temperature of -3°. On the days before the event, the circuit was covered with ice and prepared by the groomers of Mottolino Fun Mountain.

"Livigno gave me the incredible emotion of driving for the first time ever a Ferrari on the snow - said Giancarlo Fisichella at the end of the snow show. It has been an increndible emotion, made even more special by the huge crowd that was all along the circuit, that gave me an extra power and energy. For a driver, having the spectators so close is something not so common and is a factor of great satisfaction. I drove the F1 with a rally style, because the car was sliding on the snow, but for this I think that has been even more fun and full of emotions. I revved up the engine on the second and third gear, and at the end, I drifted too. Thanks to the Team Scuderia Ferrari, Kaspersky, Hublot, Mottolino Fun Mountain and Livigno, that gave me this incredible occasion, and I'm really proud for having being part of this unique event in the World."

The engine sound of F60 driven by Fisichella echoed on the entire valley of Livigno, that suddenly found itself in a mystic silence, listening for the sweet music of F1.

It has been a thrilling moment - said Luca Moretti, CEO of the Tourism Board of Livigno - I'm proud that Livigno has been part of this World Premiere on the snow, together with Ferrari, Kaspersky and Hublot. We tried to give all the support needed by the technicians, pilots and engineers, and we were rewarded with a surprising show by Giancarlo Fisichella, who left everyone speechless. The inhabitants of Livigno and our guests have participated in an extraordinary event and I think that every one of them, even once back in their home in every part of Italy, Europe and the world, will keep into their heart the memory of this unique and incredible day. Ferrari is one of the best symbol of Made in Italy and we are very proud of the fact that it met for the first time ever the white snow in Livigno".
