Livigno is ready for the new winter season. If over the years many champions have chosen the 'Little Tibet' as their training destination there will be a reason, and understanding it is not at all difficult. The increasingly avant-garde facilities, an enchanting ski area and an unrivalled natural landscape make Livigno the best place to combine sport, relaxation and nature.
With the Alpine Ski World Cup season about to restart, after a break of more than a month after the first stage, it's time for the athletes to finalize their long summer work. The slalomists of the Italian national team landed in Livigno and on Friday 27th November they started their training on the slopes of the Sitas club in order to prepare the next scheduled events.
A fixed appointment in Alta Valtellina for the Italia team, who will not miss the opportunity to spend a few days on the high ground recharging their batteries in view of the tour de force that will involve them in the coming months. The Italian expedition is composed of Giuliano Razzoli, Stefano Gross, Tommaso Sala, Federico Liberatore and will be joined in the coming days by the giants Luca De Aliprandini, Giovanni Borsotti, Hannes Zingerle, Riccardo Tonetti, Daniele Sorio and the landlord Roberto Nani.
Livigno is alpine skiing, but not only. In fact, the new Nordic skiing season was inaugurated on October 30th with the opening of the cross-country skiing ring dedicated to athletes who want to train on the high ground. For the occasion, on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th two timed training sessions were held to choose the athletes of the national teams that will participate in the next World Cup and European Cup races. Among the starters the names of the two members of the Livigno Team Nicolò Cusini and Veronica Silvestri, the latter protagonist of the best UNDER 20 performance in the 7km individual test. The tests also highlighted the brilliant condition of Ilaria De Bertolis, Elisa Brocard, Mikael Abram, Lusia Insonni and Elia Barp.
The Italian sport has therefore inaugurated this particular winter season, everything is ready in Livigno and as soon as it will be possible, the Little Tibet of the Alps will be able to host tourists and amateurs who every year choose the resort of Alta Valtellina for their active holiday.
