ADVENTURE AWARDS DAYS, the international festival dedicated to adventure and exploration.

Two main event categories liven up the festival:EXPERIENCE, with events dedicated to running, trekking, yoga, MTB, Photo and storytelling workshops. ENTERTAINMENT, with meetings, shows, concerts at dawn, film and parties.

The program also includes the first edition of the BAM!, an European gathering of bike travelers.

Paolo Rumiz, Cristiano Godano (voice of Marlene Kuntz) and Willy Mulonia are some of the guests of this edition.

Once a year, explorers, mountaineers, great travelers and adventurers come together to the  Adventure Awards to share stories, experiences and passions: in Livigno from 27th July to 2nd August 2015 take place the 3rd edition of the  international adventure and exploration  festival

Adventure Awards Days  has nothing to do with extreme sports and performances: the focus is more on the life’s passion and the desire to try something new putting yourself on the line.

Seven days of meetings, workshops, shows, films and training camp during which the most enthusiastic fans will have the chance to meet the stars of outdoor world learning something new or living an experience in the heart of nature.

The big news of this edition is BAM! The European Bicycle Adventure Meeting, a gathering for those who use the bike to travel and explore.

The festival will take place both in the village center and in the heart of the wild nature that surrounds Livigno up to over 3000 meters.

THE PROGRAM

International film festival
From July 27 to 29 we will meet at the cinema where for three evenings will be showed  a selection of the greatest documentary films about adventure and exploration around the world. It will be possible also thanks to the collaboration with National Geographic and with important international festivals, such as 5Point (USA) or Shaff (GB), also with some Italian and international premieres and the presence of the protagonists. Two prizes up for grabs:  Best Movie and the Green Movie, for the film with the strongest environmental sensitivity.

‘La voce dei posti’ - The voice of the places storytelling workshop with Paolo Rumiz
On Saturday, August 1, stories are going to be the protagonists:  the traveler, writer and journalist Paolo Rumiz holds a storytelling workshop looking for the voice of the places. Rumiz himself will be the star of the meeting with the public which will be held on Saturday night at Cinelux Livigno.

Night trekking and dawn concert of Cristiano Godano of Marlene Kuntz
Awakening in the middle of the night for the night trekking and the dawn concert at 2500 meters: after Cisco, ex voice of Modena City Ramblers, this year Cristiano Godano, voice of Marlene Kuntz is going to sing at sunrise in the ‘Valle delle Mine’.

Photo Workshop and trekking with ClickAlps
30-31 July the event dedicated to trekking and photo fans: a two-day workshop with Roberto Moiola and Giacomo Meneghello of ClickAlps, who are two of the most famous mountain photographers in Italy. Two days immersed in nature with altitude overnight searching the perfect landscape to take the photo. Learning how to use light, filters and learning how to prepare the trekking equipment.

Italian Trickline Championship
July 30, great slackline show: Livigno will host the Italian Cup Trickline with the crew of Spider Slackline. The Italian Slackline Championship (# ITC2015) is a unique  competition which take place for the first time in Italy and involves the construction of six stages on the Italian territory to choose the first Italian Trickline Champion. Afterwards everyone will try to walk on the line thanks to the slackline course for adults and children.

Theater: national première of the Tale of the Unknown Island
On the evening of Thursday, July 30, meeting for the national première of the “Tale of the Unknown Island “ a short story by Portuguese author José Saramago, Nobel winner, with Davide Lorino and Elizabeth Mazzullo.

BAM!
Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1, bike travelers will arrive in Livigno. The first edition of the BAM! (Bicycle Adventure Meeting) aims to attract in Livigno all the kind of bike travelers in Europe. There will be: workshops dedicated to mechanics, to on the road photography. The event “to Nietzsche by bike”, a bike tour up to the Nietzsche house in Engadin surrounded by a special atmosphere. Fun, parades, Teo concerts and  the gathering of the legendary Volkswagen Bus, all these in Livigno, where cycling enthusiasts are always welcome! Special guest: Willy Mulonia.

Visiting the “Tee” - trekking in the tradition
Saturday, August 1, special day dedicated to the local traditions: “Visiting the “Tee”, the typical mountain huts of Livigno, will include the visit of some of the oldest huts discovering the agricultural and historical tradition, with tastings, meetings (also with the slow traveler Ivan Peri) and music.

Running day
Saturday, August 1, will be dedicated to trail running, with a training camp. Stars of the day are going to be Joseph Grange, strong ultra-runner of the Grivel team, Stephen Gregory, one of the worldwide famous extreme racer and Danilo Callegari, explorer who chose run as next adventure. The event will take place at first in a classroom focusing on training and technique and then on a path never below 2000 meters. All in all a yoga session with Alberto Milani. In the afternoon to the base camp, meeting-aperitif presented by Runlovers.

MTB 3k up & down: have fun!
Sunday, August 2, fun with the mountain bike for an original event on the Caroello 3000 paths : the 3K, which provides 1 pro rider, 100 participants, a path of 13 km and 7 hours. The challenge is to trod the path , which also includes two lifts, as many times as possible. Awards for all and a spirit fun away from the idea of race. Prizes for all and a lot of fun.

Yoga
A rich program of yoga for the Adventure Awards will be organized on the terrace of the Hotel Lac Salin on Friday, July 31 and on Saturday, August 1. Yoga for sport (running and cycling) and Sun Salutation with Alberto Milani, who is national (CSEN) and international (RYT200 ) instructor, climber, boulder (as well as an engineer and researcher) and author of the book ‘Yogarrampicata’.

Best Adventurer e Best Storyteller: What a beard!
Every year the Adventure Awards recognizes those who best embodies the spirit of the festival: the greatest adventurer who lived the more engaging experience. Warning: not the best performance, but the more exciting experience. And then the one who has best been able to tell an adventure story, a journey, the nature. An Evening with interviews, tales, music and words which will end with the Golden Beard Award. The beard is the symbol of every adventurer (man or woman), designed each year by a different designer.

A lake of stars
Big news on the night of Thursday, July 30: a lake of stars. The few participants (numerous clausus) accompanied by an astronomer in the center of Livigno Lake will learn to recognize the stars surrounded by the magic of the night and the darkness.

Aperitif time
Every day at the festival base camp, aperitif time with the adventurers, explorers and travelers, interviewed by Guido Foddis and his guitar.

Party
On Saturday 1, Aperitiv-dinner at Concordia Hotel, and on Sunday an evening dedicated to the vertical exploration, namely mountaineering. During the evening many guests who will talk about it and  will share their experience with you.

Lifts open until May 10 at Carosello 3000 and until May 3 at Mottolino. On the 25th April take place a big international Event of electronic music with the best DJs in Europe.
