Green in Livigno means not only the green fields, the emerald waters of the lake, but since last year green is also the color of the passion for golf. The Golf Training Area aims to become an important training place at 1,816 meters above sea level. On the area, which is located between the green fields and the larch forest, you can practice golf over an area of 10,000 square meters. The Golf Training Area consists in a pitch and putt area, a driving range of 250 meters and 3 green, each reached by three different tees. Saturday, July 11, starts the first event dedicated to golf called ‘In City Golf Livigno’ followed by ‘Livigno Golf Open’. Thanks to In City Golf Livigno the focus will be the golf: 6 holes along the town streets. Starting from the Livigno lake with a hole in a boat and then at Aquagranda Livigno Sport Fitness Centre where the hole will be in the middle of the swimming pool. After that we are going to move to the Dairy where the hole will have a particular view on the milk-processing. The following holes will be downtown between Via Plan and Plaza dal Comun, and will be available for all who want to try golf can. Furthermore even the Golf Training Area will be free for the whole day with equipment available for rent. Livigno, thanks to this event, becomes one of the biggest towns that will host a In City Golf such as Cortina d'Ampezzo, Florence, Verona and Berlin.
For the Livigno Golf Open are going to be invited 3 Fights of 4 people each with individual start. This day dedicated to golf will be the occasion to present Livigno in all its aspects such as the culinary one thanks to the collaboration of the Chefs And Pastry chefs Association of Livigno.
To the event are going to take part many athletes who have a special connection with the mountain location of the Alta Valtellina. Among the guests the Livigno ski champion Giorgio Rocca, together with the Olympic gold medal Giuliano Razzoli, the Swiss downhill racer Bruno Kernen and Roberto Nani.
During the In City Golf Livigno will be presented the new cooperation agreement between Livigno and the the Montichiari Volleyball, the female A1 team which will train in Livigno during the summer.
