From April 2 to 9 you will re-experience the emotions of LA SKIEDA®, the event which is able to gather Telemarkers from all over the world in Livigno. In the wake of the new theme 2016 dedicated to the 'TIME', la Skieda becomes “ IT'S LA SKIEDA TIME ”. The program will also include a new project: “SKIEDA THE WILD TIME”.
After the big success of the twenty-first edition, the Telemark Club Livigno presents, in cooperation with APT Livigno, LA SKIEDA 2016!
The Telemark event par excellence - scheduled from April 2 to 9 – that is able to gather in Livigno over 1,600 telemarkers from all over the world, in the name of freedom, brotherhood and skiing fun.
This year the theme is 'TIME'. So LA SKIEDA becomes "IT'S LA SKIEDA TIME" understood as the time that the telemarkers from all over the world spent together during these twenty-two editions... time to ski party and be together. A time that also represents continuity and flux.
And just to make it even more original the next edition of LA SKIEDA and highlight the atmosphere, that has always characterized the week dedicated to all 'free heel' skiers, we realized this year "LA SKIEDA WILD TIME": a unique and exclusive program dedicated to telemarkers who like to deeply experience the region and the territory and the unspoiled nature.
Indeed, for the edition of LA SKIEDA 2016, the organizing committee has a great novelty: THE TRAVELING SKIEDA, which will let experience, to a select group of telemarkers, the mountain and its silence also staying overnight in a cosy mountain hut, away from the hustle and bustle of our event.
The Telemark Club Livigno wanted to meet the demands emerged from the questionnaire during "LA SKIEDA 2015". The participating telemarkers expressed the strong desire to experience the nature and the fantastic landscapes of the surrounding area of Livigno. Fabiano Monti and Adriano Mottini will coordinate the mountain guides who will accompany the participants (max. 30 telemarkers) to ensure them the right level of security during the three tours of two days each with departure and return in Livigno.
The tours are scheduled on Sunday 3, Tuesday 5 and Thursday 7 April. It is required a technical level similar to that required for the "long" tours offered during LA SKIEDA thus: a good technical preparation to face two consecutive days of skiing with approximately 600 / 1,000 meters of vertical drop on paths, challenging the telemarkers for the whole day, with overnight stay in a mountain hut. What do you need to participate? In addition to the classic ski touring equipment you need a sleeping bag, avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe and…. a great desire to have fun!
To facilitate the registrations this year LA SKIEDA TEAM offers makes available from 23rd December an online booking service on www.skieda.com. The SKIEDA package includes Ski Pass, T-Shirt, Gadgets of Skieda XXII, Cultural Events, Époque, Yoga courses, Junior Classic, Welcome Party, Recycling Dinner, Sunrise, Trepallina party, Transhumance and the Fire Party which will again be a separate event as at the very beginning of "LA SKIEDA".
The 2016 edition wants to thank all the more than 1,600 telemarkers of the XXI edition offering them the chance to online pre-apply for accreditation at a subsidized price, instead of the traditional accreditation “on site”. Those, who will use the online procedure through the website www.skieda.com, once arrived at Plaza Placheda, can directly get the t-shirt and go on the slopes, without further delay, because in their “event-bag” they will find ski pass, dinners’s coupon, Telemark lessons, t-shirts and gadgets of "La Skieda", which are always appreciated by our subscribers.
And the news does not end here. For this year edition all the participants of IT'S LA SKIEDA TIME will enjoy special conditions for the access to the Wellness&Relax area of Aquagranda Active You: spa treatments, saunas and steam baths.. the perfect place to regenerate yourself. That will be possible thanks to the partnership with APT Livigno.
So even in 2016, for seven days, during IT'S LA SKIEDA TIME you will feel the emotions of the stories the telemarkers have lived in more than twenty years. “Time" of life that has saw thousands of people skiing together, getting know each other, falling in love, crying, having fun and becoming a member of the big Telemark family. The Telemark Club Livigno invites all telemarkers to enjoy this new adventure, that has to be “written” on the white and fresh snow of Livigno, to the rhythm of enchanting genuflections on the lap of the White Lady.
