The A.S.D. Valtellina Wine Trail, in partnership with Comunità Montana Alta Valtellina, is pleased to announce the creation of two new events of skyrunning.
On Saturday, August 29 at 15:00 starting from Santa Caterina Valfurva (SO) is taking place the first edition of St. Caterina Vertical Race on a route of 3.1 km, 1.000 meters of elevation gain and the finish line at 2,750 meters above sea level.
For the Vertical Race the organization makes available to the first classified 15 men and first 10 women a total prize money of 4,000 euro. Technical director of the race is Fabio Meraldi.
Furthermore on Sunday, August 30 starting from Livigno, is going to be held the first test event by invitation Livigno SkyMarathon over a distance of 42 km with highest peak at 3,048 meters high by Piz Saliente crossing the wild Spöl valley
For this test are invited 20 athletes chosen from the best performers of this discipline according to the international ranking. Technical director of the race will be the Adriano Greek and the Skyrunning world champion Elisa Desco will be the official sponsor of the test.

The new mountain bike trail has a name: Hutr Dream . The bikers themselves have chosen it proposing and voting for their favourite names on the website of the mountain park. Despite the proposals made by giants of mountain biking as Hans "No Way" Rey , Marco Aurelio Fontana , Maja Wloszczowska , Gioele Bertolini and trail-biker Vittorio Brumotti , the winners are the boys from MTB club Hutr (organizers of West Coast Inferno as well), who voted en masse a name that represents them cause "this trail is a dream for us".
