GOURMET PATH: GASTRONOMY EVENT IN LIVIGNO

Nature and food go together in the first edition of "Sentiero Gourmet - Gourmet Path" scheduled on July 14th. A taste experience that is intertwined with the discovery of one of the loveliest corners of Livigno. Everything in the magic of the moonlight.

Mountain and food, a perfect combination that attracts many enthusiasts and tourists. Livigno could not be caught on the hop, so for the summer season the Group of Chefs and Pastry Chefs of Livigno has designed an event that combines nature with food.

On the 14th July in Livigno there will be the first edition of the "Sentiero Gourmet - Gourmet Path", a trail of about 5 km, completely immersed in the green woods and easily walkable. It will be divided into six stages , up till arriving at the enchanting Alpe Vago area.

The event will begin at 19.30 in the vicinity of St. Christopher's church, where the participants, divided into groups of 25-30 people, and accompanied by the Folk Group of Livigno, will be guided along the path which provides tastings of five different "gourmet finger food", one of which will be a revisiting of traditional recipes as in the book "Leina da Saor - An avalanche of Taste", combined each time to a different wine of Valtellina. The event will be accompanied by musicians who will play live in the woods.

At the end, several bus shuttles will bring back the participants from the area "Croce del Vago" towards the starting area, where the parking place are located. 

A maximum number of 250 participant is allowed. The first group will start at 19.30 and the others will follow every 15 minutes.

The long distance ski championship, Visma Ski Classics, continues its market growth. The new calendar for the upcoming 2016/2017 season,  Visma Ski Classics VII , will include five new event destinations in Switzerland, Austria, Norway, Finland and China! Visma Ski Classics now consist of the world´s 13 most prestigious cross country ski events, unique in having both the 28 Pro Teams and more than 50.000 amateurs on the same start line, also male and female skiers compete together.
