FEDERICA PELLEGRINI FIRST TIME ON SKIS IN LIVIGNO

Special day in Livigno for Federica Pellegrini: first ski lesson with the Olympic champion Daniela Ceccarelli as a teacher.

Federica aka "Divina", who is in high altitude training in Livigno until January 13th with the Italian national swimming tean (including Simone Sabbioni) and with the coach Matteo Giunta, didn't resist the temptation of the snow and wanted to try skiing for the first time.

"It was exciting to experience the thrill of skiing. - said Federica Pellegrini - Seeing so much snow here in Livigno made me want to try. I made a bet with Luca Moretti (President of Tourism Board Livigno) that I would be able to put the skis on. Daniela Ceccarelli was really good as a coach and gave me the right tips, I really enjoyed it. However, it's certain I'm not going to change sports, I'll continue to swim and from tomorrow I'll be back in the pool of Aquagranda ".

"Federica was very good," said the Salt Lake City Olympic Champion Daniela Ceccarelli. "It was her first time on skis but from the first descent she showed safety and balance. I think now is her turn to give me some swimming lessons ".
