Excellent news for anyone travelling from Engadina to Livigno. A return ticket through the Munt La Schera Tunnel can now be purchased online from the Livigno.eu website (https://www.livigno.eu/tunnel-munt-la-schera-landing), in just a few steps and at a discounted fee of €32.
This promotional offer, result of an agreement with EKW and valid online only, is reserved for visitors travelling to and from the area of Livigno on Saturdays between 9.am. and 4p.m..
The process for buying a digital version of the ticket is very easy. Simply type in the date of travel to Livigno, the kind of vehicle, the number of people travelling and then pay. Tickets bought online must be displayed at the ticket office at the end of the Tunnel and can either be printed out or displayed in digital format on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. As regards return tickets, travellers will be issued with a ticket for the return journey without a date of expiry which can be used at any time.
“Considering the important goals the town of Livigno is achieving in terms of tourism, we’re pleased to be able to announce yet another step in modernisation. Thanks to this new feature on our list of important aims for 2018, visitors travelling through the Munt La Schera Tunnel will be able to shorten ticket purchasing times and save money thanks to this modern, user-friendly, process which is also cheaper,” commented Luca Moretti, President of the Tourist Board for the Promotion and Development of Livigno.
“We’re delighted to be able to place a new, additional service at the disposal of both our visitors and within the Livigno area. This combined action taken with EKW allows visitors to book tickets online at better rates indeed, but is also a significant improvement in managing the flow of tourists arriving in the area,” concluded Alessia Galli, Councillor for the Development and Promotion of tourist, innovative and sustainable policies of Livigno Town Council.
