And for Christmas events, throughout all the Advent period, is open the "Christmas markets village" near the Church Santa Maria Nascente's square, at the entrance of the pedestrian area. In these Livigno markets you can find jewels, new years good luck charms, magical herbs and essences, wooden items as Christmas ornaments but also tools and furnishings. Don't miss the traditional Valtellina's rug and statues of the nativity scene, made of wood. As regards the gastronomic field, roasted chestnuts, mulled wine, apple fritters and typical Valtellina sweets as Bisciola are served directly from Santa Claus.
Besides the Christmas markets, lots of initiatives are scheduled in particularly suggestive corners of Livigno. Via Fontana celebrates with Santa Claus on 7th, 21st and 30th December from 17.00 to 20.00.
