FREERIDE IN LIVIGNO: A WORLD OF ACTIVITIES AND INSTRUMENTS

With the last big snowfalls, the Freeride excursions allow you to fully experience the "powder" world, and Livigno offers you lots of instruments at disposal to all the guests, to practice the freeride activities:

-    Avalanche report     (https://www.livigno.eu/bollettino-valanghe)
A daily report is issued containing both technical data and information about the conditions of the snow cover, as well as an indication of the levels of danger of an avalanche occurring. The report is emailed every morning at 8a.m. and immediately published on the livigno.eu website. It is also displayed in real time on the 13 monitors located in the village and at the departure points of the main ski lifts. The report is also available in the Info Live section of the My Livigno App.

-    Snow quality report     (https://www.livigno.eu/bollettino-qualita-neve)
A new tool has been made available recently which aims to provide more detailed information for assessing your freeride experience. The new Snow Quality Report provides profiled information daily, regarding altitude and the exposure of the various different slopes. Three separate charts display information about the conditions of the snow, the quality of the skiing and the exposure of stones on user-friendly, intuitive graphics.
Like the Avalanche Report, that of the quality of the snow is also published on livigno.eu, the My Livigno App and displayed on a number of the information monitors.

- Freeride Meeting     (https://www.livigno.eu/freeride-meetings)
Every Sunday at 5p.m. in Birrificio 1816, the mountain guides specialising in freeride activities organise a meeting for all those who are interested in practicing off-piste activities, as well as taking part in tours and excursions with a guide. On this occasion, all the extremely important rules concerning safety are reiterated, and the weather conditions for the following days assessed. The guides will provide all the information freeride enthusiasts need in order to experience their holiday in Livigno to the full.

- Safety Check Point
In the access areas to the most popular off-piste areas, there are COMPULSORY checkpoints for  controlling the safety equipment of those who wish to ski or snowshoe off the marked trails.

- Organised activities
For those who wish to avail themselves of the experience of the mountain guides in order to experience new routes or try the freeride world for the very first time, we offer various proposals for enjoying all the many aspects of the mountains to the full. Scarica qui le proposte in Inglese Download proposals in English.
