LIVIGNO, OPENED 12 KM OF CROSS-COUNTRY TRACK

Now it is possible to skiing from the Nordic Ski Center to the Forcola area, and the biathlon shooting range has also been opened. The Little Tibet is preparing to the 25th edition of La Sgambeda with an exceptional early opening of the cross-country track.

The atmosphere you can breath in Livigno is already mid-winter. In the town the snow has arrived, and while waiting for the lifts opening expected on November 29th, the cross-country track has already been open since 15 days. As of today it is possible to skiing on 12 km of track, from the Nordic Ski Center to the Forcola area, and also to use the biathlon shooting range. The early opening of cross-country track is a strong attraction for many athletes who, in the pre-race period, are looking for places where they can train on skis and, at the same time, enjoy friendly services. In the last two weeks have been training in Livigno's snow, teams coming from Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Poland and also Italians should arrive.

This represents a great start of the winter season, also considering the important appointment with La Sgambeda race, now in its 25th edition, which will be held from the 12th to the 14th December, opening the sport event season in Livigno.

For its 25th anniversary, La Sgambeda has got an edition in classical technique and the entry into the prestigious circuit Swix Classics, which includes classical races from all over the world, including the Vasaloppet and Marcialonga races. The Swix Ski Classics calendar for 2014/2015 will consist of 9 events throughout the world which will be opened with the Prologue race in Livigno on December 13th. La Sgambeda, 35 km in classical technique, kicks off December 14th, while for many enthusiasts, professionals and amateurs, who each year participate to La Sgambeda, on Friday 12th December is expected La Sgambeda Marathon. As of today 1,200 people enrolled in competitions. It 's still possible to complete the registration on the web-site www.sgambeda.it until 9th December 2014.
