Livigno's winter season officially opens Saturday, November 26, 2016 when the first skiers and snowboarders will be able to get back on the slopes of the resort of Alta Valtellina.It will be an overture that will cover part of the slopes and the ski lifts (115 km in total from 1800 to 2900 meters in altitude for a total of 12 black runs, 37 red and 27 blue, served by 6 gondolas, 13 chair lifts and 12 ski lifts).
In detail, at Carosello 3000 will open the lifts: Livigno Centro-Costaccia gondola (slopes Natale, Buglin and Le Zete), gondola Carosello 3000 (slopes Polvere, Gipeto, Aquila, Baby, Bambi), Federia chairlift (slopes Gessi Alti, Magu, Federia Slalom). Probabily, although not yet certain, will be also open the chairlift Vetta with the slope Bellavista.
At Mottolino Fun Mountain will be open the Mottolino gondola and the chairlifts Trepalle Sponda and Valfin with the respective slopes.
Still uncertain the opening of the chairlift Valandrea and skilift Botarel.

Cross-country skiers will find a ring of 3.5 km of length (about 30 km total) already open since mid-October and the access is completely free.
