Today in Doha, Qatar, the Athletics World Championships have officially started, and will be held until October 6th, and where a large delegation of 66 athletes led by Filippo Tortu and Gianmarco Tamberi, will try to do the history.
Some of the athletes in the race have prepared the prestigious world appointment on the new athletics track in Livigno recently inaugurated, and a Livigno delegation will represent the 'Little Tibet' also in Qatar, at the Athletic Italian House of the Athletics World Championships, base in which our athletes meet together with institutions and journalists.
This is just one of the many promotional activities done by Livigno with the purpose of getting close to the athletics target, whose mix of specialties after the opening of the track has already responded positively. Livigno was already present at the Diamond League held in Rome last June, and now continues its intent to make itself known to runners after having embraced athletes of the most varied disciplines: from biathlon, to the cross-country skiing, to cycling, up to swimming.
Good luck therefore to the Italian athletes who trained during the summer in Livigno hoping to gain new medals, like the great success reached by Dorothea Wierer, Lisa Vittozzi, Federica Pellegrini and many others...Livigno, paradise of altitude training (and now also for athletics...), wish them good luck!
