Livigno starts the Summer with the event "Livigno Pulita": a day to discover the charm of the mountain and to preserve the beauty of nature.

After the re-opening of the athletics track, the golf training area, beach tennis and the announcement of the reopening of the Larix Park, Livigno starts the Summer season on Sunday 31st May with Livigno Pulita, a day dedicated to safeguarding of woods, meadows and streams.

Creativity and determination to overcome difficulties have always been written in the DNA of Little Tibet: historically, Livigno has gone through numerous moments of crisis and difficulty, due to the poor connections of the past, but also and above all to a land that hardly could be cultivated. However, the obvious difficulties that have marked its history, its being always proactive, its tenacity, the great ability to adapt but also to create and innovate, have made Livigno the great tourist, sports and food and wine destination that today all world knows.

After the re-opening of the athletics track and the beach tennis court of the Aquagranda Active You! Sports and wellness center, of the golf training area and the announcement of the reopening on May 30th of Larix Park, the adventure park immersed in the forest of ancient larches, Livigno chooses to start right from that nature in which it is immersed and which has always sought, in all ways, to safeguard, even with the various ordinances and attentions addressed to Plastic Free that officially entered into force last year.

Indeed, to preserve the natural beauty that surrounds it and revive, once again, those traditions so rooted and engaging, which over the years have contributed to making it the perfect half for every type of traveler, Livigno organizes -Livigno Pulita-, a day entirely dedicated to the cleaning and safeguarding of the territory that Livigno inhabitants have been celebrating every year since 1982.

On Sunday 31st May all the citizens of Livigno in compliance with the regional and government regulations in force, will walk through woods, meadows and streams not only to collect some waste revealed by the melting of the snow, but also to clean the mountain trails from branches, stones and any natural debris that can disturb the trail of lovers of trekking and mountain biking.

<< Even if this event is organized every year - commented Luca Moretti, President of the APT of Livigno - in this very particular 2020 "-Livigno Pulita- takes on an even more incisive role: this is the right time to find the love for our land, for our mountains. During the whole day, the citizens of Livigno will take on this role with extreme responsibility and pride, to make our town even cleaner and more scenic. At their side, there will also be numerous volunteers from various local groups and associations, who on this occasion, will play the role of ecological operators for our territory >>.

In support of -Livigno Pulita-, always respecting the protection of the environment, the Municipality of Livigno has called for the closure of internal vehicular traffic in the central streets of the town from 11:00 to 15:00. This is a very important signal to underline the green address that the location wants to take over time. Shops and restaurants will not be penalized: despite the traffic block, the shops will still be open and all guests will be able to take advantage of all the services already active in Livigno. Fashion addicts can enjoy a day of open-air shopping in the streets of the center while the sweet tooth will have the opportunity to taste the delicious menus of the Livigno's restaurants and typical local products, including dairy and artisan products from the Livigno Dairy, which can be purchased by walking along the cycle and pedestrian path.

All guests already in the town will be able to experience a climate of relaxation without a car in the central areas of the town, while all those who want to reach Little Tibet on Sunday 31 May can reach Livigno without problems, taking advantage of the free parking spaces at the entrance of the town (those of Aquagranda, Mottolino and Teola, Casa della Sanità and Plaza Placheda) and then use the free urban transport service that will be enhanced for the occasion, or taxis, or reach the center area on foot which is only 500 meters away.
