Reaching Livigno by plane, now you can!

Less than three years remain before the beginning of the Olympic games, and the large legacy works in the Livigno area have begun.

Yesterday, Thursday, March 30th, in the council chamber of the Livigno municipality, the new primary AT/MT cabin was presented, which represents a very important infrastructure for Livigno and for the distribution of electricity. During the presentation of this project, whose works have just begun this week, another very important work for Livigno was unveiled: the "Piccolo Tibet" airfield. This is the name of the ambitious project that will see the construction of a landing strip 850 meters long and 30 meters wide where 12-seater aircraft can land.

The environmental impact is minimal, as experts assure, because the runway will be completely snow-covered and used only during the winter season. The first alpine airfield that allows airplanes to land on snow, a cutting-edge work that makes all the people of Livigno proud. The aircraft hangars will be buried, a highly sustainable choice wanted by the entire community so as not to spoil the territory.

At the same time, Livigno Airways, the flagship company of Livigno, was presented, which will be the concessionaire of flights to major European airports. The preliminary agreement has already been signed in which Livigno Airways will fly to the airports of Milan, Rome, Munich, Prague, Warsaw, and Amsterdam. A new way to reach Livigno that allows saving time and reducing vehicular traffic.
