Livigno is Official Altitude Training Partner of UAE Team Emirates

The resort will host the team of the Emirates before the Tour de France and the Vuelta.

It's official: Livigno and UAE Team Emirates have signed a collaboration agreement, that will bring the cyclists most important teams in the world to train on theroads of the Valtellina. On the occasion of the meetings of preparation for the Tour de France and the Vuelta, in fact, the team of the Emirates will be in Livigno, to exploit at most the benefits of the altitude training and the benefits of altitude training and the quality of the local structures, thus putting in place the most prestigious stage races of 2022. The partnership is part of an extremely significant trend, that in the last years has transformed Livigno into one of the most sought-after destinations for all sports professionals, with athletes from different disciplines, and cycling in particular, increasingly present on the roads and in the structures of the resort. We were looking for a quality environment and facilities and I am confident that we will find them here and be able to prepare in the best possible way for some of our most important races.The relationship between two wheels and Livigno, therefore, thrives further thanks to the agreement with the strongest team of the entire international panorama, which will bring, among others, Tadej Pogačar, the star of the moment, to train on the routes of the Little Tibet. While waiting to find out the full list of athletes involved in the meetings, it isalready known that the first of the two, the one before the Tour, will take place at 2000 metres above sea level, rising a few hundred metres; while in the second, the cyclists will stay in the heart of the community of Livigno.

Among the team members is Davide Formolo, already at home in Livigno, who says: "For me altitude training is a fundamental part of my preparation. As athletes, we compete all over the world and preparing for for these competitions correctly and in a good environment is crucial. We are looking forward to training in Livigno.
