In October there will be several Municipalities and Italian organizations that will host events and meetings to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention and early diagnosis. Also this year Livigno will support the cause by organizing a unique occasion in which sport, friendship and fun will gather to raise awareness on the theme of prevention.
On 28 and 29 September 2019, Livigno and Aquagranda Active You! Together with 'ATS della Montagna' and its Director, Doctor Cecconami, organize the 24h in Pink, a race along the newly inaugurated athletics track of which the absolute protagonists will be women.
Starting at 10.30am on Saturday, women of all ages are invited to take part in a twenty-four hour race alternating with each other, either individually or in groups, each running or walking for a minimum of 15 minutes: no need to be athletes or amateurs, anyone can participate by deciding to run or walk, but the goal is that there is always at least one woman on the track. The race will end exactly one day later, at 10.30 am on Sunday, September 29th: during the last hour it will be Italian athletes and former athletes.
The meeting will take place on Saturday 28 at 10.00 am at the athletics track and the intervention of authorities and institutions will start at 24h. The race will continue all day and during the night, and will end at 10.30 on Sunday 29; to follow, everyone is expected on the terrace of Aquagranda for a light buffet open to all the public. Women who have participated in the race will be able to access it for free, while the public price will be 10 euros.
On the occasion of the 24h in Rosa, the Bar & Bistrot area and the locker rooms will be open for the duration of the race and in support of the cause of the pink month the entire center of Aquagranda Active You! will offer all women free access to its six areas on both Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th September. Furthermore, during the day of Saturday 28 September, from 10.30 am until 3.30 pm, ATS della Montagna will be present at Aquagranda with 'Small daily gestures to gain health'", a special corner in which to carry out control exams and check-ups, to sensitize the population on the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles.
All women participating in the race will receive a Jaked tank top and will have free access to the buffet on Sunday 29, as well as a voucher for free access to Aquagranda Active You! usable any day and at any time by 31.12.19.
