The press conference to officialise the agreement between the Region of Lombardy and Livigno Town Council was held today in view of the upcoming work for building the new olympic swimming-pool. The table of speakers included the Undersecretary responsible for large sports events, Antonio Rossi; Councillor for Sport and Youth from the Region of Lombardy, Martina Cambiaghi; Director General for Sport and Youth from the Region of Lombardy, Simone Rasetti; the Mayor of Livigno Damiano Bormolini with Deputy Mayor Remo Galli and advisor Samantha Todeschi, as well as CEO of Livigno Tourist Board Luca Moretti and athletes Simona Quadarella and Marco Orsi.
“The project for the olympic swimming-pool is an incredibly important one, and aims to develop a Federal Sports Centre,” affirmed Antonio Rossi, “where athletes will be pampered and sports tourism can make use of a top level facilityWe believe that when you dream a dream it remains just that, but when you share it with others it becomes a project, and the 50m swimming-pool is tangible proof of this."
