With Skipass Modena, the annual votations for the Snowpark Awards return allowing the public and the insiders to establish the best snowparks of Italy. Not only the dimensions are considered but also the attention to details, shaping, design, creativity and management are considered to attribute the prizes.
The Snowpark of Mottolino Livigno won the trophy of “Late Season Park” rewarding the constancy of maintainance work of the structures which is extended every year until the last days of April allowing freeskiers and snowboarders from all the world to find the ideal ground for the last seasonal sessions. In the category “best innovation”, Mottolino won a 2nd price remaining also on the podium with a 3rd price as “best snowpark” and “best marketing” confirming its adapted strategy during the season to sustain the scene of snowboard and freeski. Every year, the park of the Fun Mountain in Livigno is the meeting point of international shootings and the training area for the best riders of the world scene.
A 2nd place was given also to the Carosello 3000 thanks to “The Guardian”, the event at the end of each season that attracts enthusiasts from all Italy to Livigno in the last 5 years. In the tropical winter settings of “The Beach”, numerous internationally known riders are between the contenders of the prestigious trophy. “The Beach”, the snowpark of Carosello 3000, is situated at the top station of the new cable car and is an easy snowpark with an incredible tropical setting. In this area, freeskiers and snowboarders find structures in continuous evolution during the whole season in a fun and relaxing context.
As these awards show, Livigno is to be considered one of the most forefront Ski Resorts of Europe. To confirm this, excluding slopes and snowparks, there is also the anticipated opening of the cross country track that as of today has reached the length of 22km. The track, available to skiers of narrow skis has had an enourmeous success among amateurs and especially among the numerous national teams arriving in the “Piccolo Tibet” (Small Tibet) as Livigno is also called to kick off the winter training. A lot of teams are training in these days in view of the Sgambeda 2018 and the races Visma Ski Classic, all scheduled from the 30th of November to the 2nd of December.
The season start will be complete with the opening of the lifts of the 1st of December, a date to mark in the calender as the skiing season in Livigno starts with the promotion Skipass Free: with a 4 days stay in hotel or 7 in apartment, the skipass is for free.
