Everyday, the highly qualified instructors and guides at Bike Skill Center are at our visitors’ disposal. They’re a reference point for all biking enthusiasts, who can choose from the many options in the weekly program our guides offer. These include MTB tours, enduro, cross-country, flow-country and downhill, which are just some of the opportunities Livigno offers. The Bike Skill Center is also an ideal place for little ones, who can get the hang of mountain biking and improve their riding technique with the help of both qualified instructors and the weekly programme of games and excursions dedicated to them.
Thanks to Livigno Bike Pass, bikers can access all the ski lifts of Mottolino, Carosello 3000 and Sitas that have MTB transport using a single card. This summer version of the ski pass enables them to head up both slopes freely, then down into the bike park for limitless fun.
Open from 8th June to 29th September 2019, Mottolino Bike Park is one of the top bike parks in Europe. It features 14 trails suitable for everyone, split into three different levels of difficulty as well as facilities which will satisfy the needs of both beginners and experts. There is a jump area for making sequences of jumps on clay, a north shore area in the woods with hanging bridges and wooden walkways, a slopestyle line for pro-riders, four drops to test their skills and a huge inflatable structure for learning new techniques and tricks in the air. During the opening and closing weekends, bikers can ride the track for two days for the price of one, while our TRY to Ride promotion enables visitors to rent a full set of equipment and access the bike park trails at 9.30 a.m. for 3 hours accompanied by an expert guide, for just €59.
Carosello 3000 Mountain Park and Sitas Mountain Area (open as of 15th June and until 22nd and 15th September 2019, respectively) are also areas designed to be accessible to everyone. The trails form a massive bike area featuring more than 50km of trails for all biking levels. These range from the Roller Coaster, with sensational views of Lake Livigno, to the super fast H-Dream (Hutr) which literally launches expert bikers to a top speed of 70 km/h, the Coast to Coast excursion, and technical flow of the Blueberry Line. The newest feature for the 2019 summer season is The Bomb Trail, a 2.7 km route with a 407m difference in height for expert bikers. Built mostly by hand, The Bomb Trail takes advantage of the natural features of the mountain, crossing rock passages and paved sections using stones found on the spot. It marks a further step towards more natural biking experience in harmony with the land. The paths of Carosello 3000 include the Tutti Frutti Epic tour, a 45km stretch that also encompasses some of Livigno’s historical trails, and designed to offer a mountain bike experience on different types of trails through Livigno’s most evocative settings.
The e-bike phenomenon has also taken hold in Livigno in recent years - really making everyone's taste for adventure on two wheels accessible. A number of shops in the village rent out pedal-assisted bikes and there are recharging points and specially tracked out paths with differing levels of difficulty throughout the territory. Besides organised excursions, e-bike lovers can choose from different routes of varying levels designed especially for them. A biking experience in the greenery of this stunning area is assured. leaving stress and tiredness at home.
There is no shortage of themed accommodation facilities in Livigno either for anyone dreaming of a holiday entirely on two wheels. There are many Bike Hotels & Bike Apartments offering services tailored to the specific needs of bikers, such as a fully-equipped workshop and daily laundry service. Visitors wishing to stay in one of these facilities from 8th to 21st June or 14th to 29th September 2019 (for 3 nights in a hotel or 7 in an apartment), can benefit from the Bike Pass Free promotion. Said promotion allows access to free ski lifts located on the slopes of Carosello 3000, Sitas and Mottolino, at the bike park and on the many, specially designed, mapped out trails and flow-trails, for the duration of their stay. These facilities also offer guests a secure storage area under surveillance in which to store their equipment, an area providing information about trails and routes, and a bike tutor. These experienced, qualified guides are able to provide all kinds of information, and visitors can book guided trips through them or have a chat with them before setting off on an adventure on their own.
