Even the cross-country track, which was already open on 15th October thanks to the Snowfarm technique (https://www.livigno.eu/en/snowfarm), received a natural boost, growing from 2km to 35km in a few days, ready for the 28th edition of Sgambeda, the historical cross country ski race that will take place on Saturday 2nd December. Since a month and a half, is possible to see many international teams training on the track of natural snow, in view of the world cup races, taking advantage of the "Dope Free" effect that is achieved thanks to high altitude training, at 1816mt.
Despite the official opening was scheduled for the 1st December 2017, the lure of thick blanket of snow and the desire of putting skis on, obliged us to an earlier opening of the three lifts of Carosello 3000 (Gondola Livigno Centro, Gondola Tagliede and chairlift Valandrea Vetta), that allowed the first skiers to enjoy perfect groomed slopes for free, and followed then by the early opening of skilift “Pian Della Volpe”.
For weeks the snow groomers worked non-stop on both mountain’s sides Mottolino Fun Mountain and Carosello 3000, to give you perfect slopes, ready to welcome skiers and snowboarders. Here you can find the complete list of the lifts open from tomorrow:

Big news about Carosello 3000. Indeed, since this Summer, works continue 24h per day, for the construction of two new and super modern lifts, that will allow you to connect to the Chairlift Blesaccia1, Blesaccia 2, Federia, Baby Lac Salin and Fontane Vetta. Two consecutive lifts, with a total of 3km of length, located on a difference in height of 900mt. Three completed new stations.
