The Aquagranda Active You Wellness&Relax area has undergone a complete makeover, and reopens its doors on Saturday 25th February at midday. The project to restyle this area examined the architecture of the interiors, which now reflects the typical Alpine style of the Livigno valley in which wood and stone are the main features.
There are 1500 square meters of pure wellness featuring 4 different areas: pools with hydro-massage and water jet beds, 3 relaxation rooms (Swiss Pine, Hay and Nature Sounds), a turkish bath, a Swiss Pine bio-sauna, a Finnish sauna with antiqued wood specially studied for housing "Aufguss" rituals using the steam that rises from the sauna stove. They are all set along a route which ends with the cold tub, Kneipp therapy area and wellness bar where guests can enjoy herbal teas, fresh smoothies tasty food and why not even a delicious aperitif.
"Aufguss" rituals consist of a sauna master pouring cold water mixed with essential oils over the scorching stones of the sauna brazier. Using a towel, the master makes rhythmical movements to direct the steam towards guests to create an enveloping multi-sensory experience. "Aufguss" rituals will take place every hour, from 3.30 to 8.30pm, whilst the entire Wellness&Relax area will be open every day from12.00 noon to 10pm.
On Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th March 2017, guests can attend Aufguss Shows by 12 top Italian Aufguss masters.
Wearing a swimming-costume in the area with the various difference tubs and relaxation rooms is compulsory, whilst synthetic costumes in the saunas and steam rooms are forbidden. Guests can choose either to wear no costume at all, or a TNT one we provide at no extra charge and which is ideal for use in the saunas. These regulations are important as they enable us to prevent the harmful emissions produced by synthetic fabrics when worn at high temperatures.
