LIVIGNO: INAUGURATION OF NEW BIATHLON ARENA

The Biathlon Arena in Livigno, which comprises a brand new shooting range, was inaugurated today.

Deputy Mayor of Livigno Remo Galli, Livigno Tourist Board Chairman Luca MorettiDorothea Wierer, Thomas Bormolini, Roberto Nani and the Team Livigno athletes were all involved in cutting the ribbon.

Dorothea and Thomas were the first to use their rifles, as these two Italian athletes from the national team began the shooting session in the new range.
I’m delighted as I’m now able to do all my training in Livigno,” declared Dorothea Wierer“it’s a beautiful structure with 12 shooting stations. Moreover, the opening of the range will also allow foreign national teams to come here for their retreats, giving us a great opportunity to talk with them/compare notes/share ideas.”

The shooting range is yet another feature that extends the range of sports Livigno has to offer,” declared Luca Moretti Livigno Tourist Board Chairman. “With such an important a public figure as Dorothea here, we really needed a structure that was suitable for training. It was wonderful to see our champions teaching children to shoot today.”

Lastly, the declaration of Vice Mayor Remo Galli“We focus very much on sport, the opening of this new Biathlon Arena being further proof of this, as indeed the athletics track and football pitch next year will be, too. Livigno offers itself increasingly more as a municipality for sport, the ideal place for training at altitude.”
