After the early opening of some lifts on 9th November, from last Saturday the snow-lovers can access all the 115 km of slopes of the Piccolo Tibet: between Skipass Free, promotions and activities with and without skis, everything is ready for a season that will not end before 3rd May.
After the great start with the opening of the cross-country track already last 19th October, with 150cm of snow at high altitude and 78cm along the streets of the town, the 2019/2020 Livigno winter season is now alive: in the Piccolo Tibet skiers, snowboarders and freeriders have already been able to wear their equipment and go down to the valley since 9th November thanks to the early opening of Sitas Ski Area, while since last Saturday, 30th November the snow-lovers have been able to cover the entire 115 km of slopes with the complete opening of all lifts of Livigno.
On the other hand, the cross-country track, which has been open since mid-October thanks to the use of snow preserved since last winter with the technique of Snowfarming, has reached the length of 35 km and was stage, during last weekend, of three exciting cross-country skiing races: in addition to visma Ski classics and MiniSgambeda, Livigno hosted the thirtieth edition of the trip, the traditional race in free technique that every year opens in great style the winter season of Little Tibet.
Whether they prefer to go down to the valley on skis or snowboards, in Livigno all snow lovers can find the perfect holiday to meet their needs: lifts that are always renewed, the possibility of practising any kind of outdoor and indoor activities, information on snow and avalanches always updated thanks to the activity of the Livigno Outdoor Center for those who love freeriding and dedicated offers.
From 30th November to 20th December 2019 and from 13th April to 3rd May 2020 will be active ski pass free promotion: by booking a stay of at least 4 or 7 nights in the hotels and apartments joining in the promotion, guests will receive a free ski pass to all Livigno lifts, valid for the duration of their holiday.
Starting from the centre of the village, the lifts allow to reach an altitude of 2900 meters: starting from here, there are 12 black slopes, 37 red and 27 blue all served by 6 gondola lifts (Carosello 3000 I and II, Mottolino, Livigno Centro Tagliede I and II, Cassana), 14 chairlifts and 11 ski lifts. Since 2018 Skilink is also active, a service that offers the possibility for all skiers to move in just a few minutes from the Carosello side to the Mottolino side and vice versa thanks to two free shuttles.
Not to be missed for lovers of adrenaline are the 100 km2 of backcountry, snowpark and fun slope: thanks to the maximum expertise of the insiders, every year in Livigno fans of freestyle and snowboard can choose between three snowparks, divided between Mottolino snowpark and The Beach - snowpark Carosello 3000, and many mini snowparks. These maxi areas dedicated to adrenaline lovers allow you to try out jumps of easy, medium and high difficulty, exciting tricks between snow and slopes.
For those who want to live a fantastic experience on the snow but without skis or snowboards on their feet, the ideal is to have fun on the snow with Fat Bike and E-Fat Bike, or still go on a horseback ride, try ice climbing, experience the thrill of paragliding and ice-driving, enjoy a moment in close contact with nature with the sleddog or a relaxing and romantic afternoon skating on the ice.
