Small Tibet, with a big sporty heart that pulsates for a myriad of disciplines both outdoor and indoor. Livigno, paradise of sport and tourism, after returning to normality after the lockdown, has already opened the first sports facilities coveted by fans from all over the world, and now announces the partial opening of the Forcola Mountain Pass - on Saturday 6th June - for the Italian side only, up to the Italian customs.
An important possibility for athletes and amateurs of ski roll, road bike and running to reach the Passo della Forcola for their training in complete safety, given that the Livigno Municipality, confirmed that the road will be open only to non motor vehicles, thus guaranteeing sportsmen to get on and off without crossing cars in transit.
The italian road, from Saturday 6th June until further notice, will be accessible and dedicated to sportsmen from 8:30 to 11:30.
Livigno is positioned on what is called the highest plateau in Europe, and with its 1816 meters of altitude it guarantees athletes very profitable training in the hills, and gives all its guests unique moments of sport and relaxation , with a 360 °panorama that reserves breathaking moments.
Since weeks in Livigno opened the athletics track, and runners can have fun on the pedestrian and cycle path, and for the trail runners and mtb bikers, there are infinite trails reaching the highest peaks. Open also the fields of beach tennis, golf and classic tennis. Among the natural gyms that represent the uniqueness of this area there are the legendary Alpine passes such as Stelvio and Gavia (open since last Friday) for road bike lovers, with Livigno as the centerpiece with its warm hospitality.
The Aquagranda Active You center has also reopened its doors, an accredited center among the highest in Europe, a place where the mix of sport, relaxation and well-being is combined with the needs of sportsmen and families. From the beginning of the week the gym and the 25m swimming pool are open. Hosted in the Aquagranda, obviously in compliance with the current rules imposed by the containment of the covid19. There is already great interest from many athletes to train in the Livigno sports center, which covers almost 10,000 square meters.
The athletics track guarantees access every day from 6:00 to 21:00, but until 9:00 the entrance is allowed only to people registered in Aquagranda. After the re-opening of the athletics track, the golf training area, beach tennis and the announcement of the reopening of the Larix Park, Livigno starts the Summer season on Sunday 31st May with Livigno Pulita, a day dedicated to safeguarding of woods, meadows and streams.
