Perfectly set in the Alps, the Livigno plain is an area 12 km long, stretching from the lake to Alpe Vago and offering the opportunity to practice many activities, taking advantage by a flat area, between fun, relax and leisure. This particular characteristic makes the flatland perfect for family experiences: from a relaxing walk on the beaten track to a horse sled ride, not forgetting that it's within easy walking distance of all the accommodation facilities. An oasis close to the centre, but which retains its natural charm, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy exciting experiences, immersed in the Alpine panorama.
A notable advantage of the Livigno valley is the possibility of walking without a precise destination, and then relying on the city bus service to return to the hotel. A perfect fun activity for all travellers is the Fat Bike: the bike that thanks to its characteristics guarantees maximum grip on the snow. Thanks to Livigno's beaten path, bike lovers can ride on a 20 km track that runs through the city. The route is suitable for all families: in Livigno in fact it's possible to rent the charriot, a "pram" designed and built on skis that can carry all children from 0 to 6 years old. For the more adventurous children, there are children's fat bikes to keep them entertained in complete safety. In Livigno, an E-Fat Bike excursion is also recommended, allowing everyone to enjoy an easy bike ride along any type of route and slope. From the bottom of the valley you can also observe paragliders flying over Livigno above the peaks of the Alps with the Feel the Sky experience based at Carosello 3000. Little Tibet above the snow-capped peaks, offering travellers on the ground exciting spectacles in the sky.
A magical experience that allows you to admire the beauty of the alps is the horse sled tour: romantic, wild, adventurous and fun for the whole family. The activity consists of a thirty-minute tour along the flat track, surrounded by the nature of the valley, starting from Tresenda for an evocative excursion towards Vago.
Finally, one of the activities that can be undertaken in this area is cross-country skiing, appreciated by many sports lovers and available in Livigno from the last week of October, thanks to the early opening of the cross-country ring.
A natural extension of the Livigno valley is the Forcola area. The wide area is the perfect place for those who want to isolate themselves in silence and immerse themselves in nature; from here, cross-country skiers, ski mountaineers and snowshoers can give vent to their desire for sport away from the centre and the roads.
