Falling stars, waiting for the Italian Championships. Bassino, Ledecka, Worley: in Livigno the best of alpine skiing

Great excitement on the slopes of the Valtellina resort which is hosting the training sessions of many international champions. Waiting for the great performance of the Italian Absolute scheduled from March 22nd to the 24th.

The climate of March is giving Livigno wonderful sunny days and magnificent starry nights, which light up the valley and its slopes. But it's not only the night sky that is full of stars, because in these weeks, that precede the closing of the World Cup, with the finals of Lenzerheide, the snow of Livigno is the training theater for some of the most talented World skiers. Champions from all over the world, in fact, have chosen the slopes of the little Tibet to train for the last, decisive stages of the Circuit, which will give the final verdicts of a season full of emotions and great challenges.

The Sitas company's slopes are hosting the last adjustments of athletes of the caliber of Ester Ledecka, from Czech Republic, who won gold in both the Super G and parallel giant snowboarding events at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics.

Or of the caliber of Tessa Worley, Miss Giant, bronze in the parallel at the recent World Championships and considered by many as one of the greatest specialists of all time in the discipline. Her compatriots Tiffany Gauthier and Laura Gauchè will also be present in the next days.

Even the Swiss national Slalom team has arrived on the future Olympic snows of Livigno; it chose to stop here to better prepare the Slovenian stage of the World Cup, the last one, before the grand finale, of a specialty that has yet to decree its king and queen.

Many big names of the international skiing, but not only, because in Livigno there is also a lot of Italian skiers The Italian men's giant slalom team is arriving and will join the large group of Italian women already in the valley.

Francesca Marsaglia, Elena Curtoni, Laura Pirovano, Nadia Delago and the World Champion Marta Bassino, fresh winner of the Giant's Crystal Ball, are already at work in Valtellina.

For all the Italian talent, these training days will also serve as a taste of the Livigno slopes, which will host the Italian Absolute Championships from March 22nd to the 24th. A competition in which all the big names of Italian skiing will be awaited at the starting gate, for a challenge that, thanks to the Sitas track, is going to be highly technical.

The Men's Giant Slalom, scheduled for Monday, March 22nd, will open the dances, while the following day the show will be guaranteed by the double appointment with the Special Slalom. The women's giant slalom, scheduled for Wednesday, March 24th, will close the three days of great skiing.

From the great international guests to the Italian Championships: the efficient organizational machine of Livigno, which will host the 2026 Olympic Games, continues to be a reference point for all winter sports.
