On the morning of 10 December, more than 250 operators participated in the first edition of the training event conceived and promoted by APT and ATC Livigno to learn all the secrets of hospitality and to contribute to make unique the stay of every traveller in the Little Tibet. Encouraging all the workers on becoming real Ambassadors of Livigno.
In difficult times, such as the one we are all experiencing, the secret of a destination for a successful restart is to never stop and to keep working to meet the wishes and expectations of every future visitor. Precisely to this, Livigno has worked hard in recent months, innovating and renewing itself to be able to welcome as soon as possible and safely, the tourists from Italy and the world.
Alongside the expansion of an already rich winter offer and the creation of ad hoc services to make possible social distancing, safety and health protection, Livigno has created a training project dedicated to all tourist operators of the Little Tibet, both from Livigno and elsewhere. Livigno Academy was born from the need to make everyone feel part of one big reality, get to know the wealth of Livigno's tourist offer better and make each traveller's stay and experience even better. The idea is to transmit to guests and visitors the passion and pride for the destination.
The project, conceived and promoted by the Tourist Board and the Association of Tourism and Commerce of Livigno, opened in the morning of 10 December 2020 with an event in online mode, and involved more than 250 operators engaged in hotels shops, restaurants, ski lifts and all the different facilities of the Little Tibet.
"Regardless of everyone's tasks, the ultimate goal is common: to give every guest the perfect holiday - comments Luca Moretti, President and CEO of the Tourist Board of Livigno. - With the Livigno Academy we wanted to involve more and more operators and seasonal workers, trying to make them feel part of our big family that is Livigno. Every year, with their work, they help us to make the stay of every guest unique and unforgettable, but also to achieve great goals and objectives, first of all to become Host City for the snowboard and freestyle competitions at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics.
We are aware that we have started this great project in a difficult period for all workers and tourism operators, but it is precisely by motivating and supporting them, as in a big family, that we decided this was the right time to make them understand that we are not abandoning them now.
This first online meeting was not purely notional, but motivational: to do so,we asked for the collaboration of Edoardo Cognonato, one of the best known and appreciated Expert in Experience Marketing in Italy. He provided with important tools to help them face not only their work but also their daily challenges. The Livigno Academy has been and will be a moment entirely dedicated to them, so that they feel more and more at home, can appreciate and share our values, can work in a serene, positive and stimulating atmosphere.
"With the Livigno Academy we wanted to challenge all operators to become Ambassadors of Livigno, both while they are working in the destination and even more when they are elsewhere - added Marco Cola, President of the Tourism and Trade Association of Livigno. -Certainly what is most important for us is that each of these operators and workers, feels active and fundamental part of our reality, whatever it is. We want everyone to feel proud to work with us.”
A key part of the Livigno Academy project is the Livigno Academy platform, which will be a source of information and inspiration for all the operators who will decide to become Ambassadors of Livigno: besides finding updated contents, the participants will be able to discover all the reserved advantages and the next appointments dedicated to them.
