A track made with real snow (thanks to the snow farming tecnique), with a lenght of 1 km in the center of Livigno all along the streets of duty-free shopping. A great public, and lot of cheer for the champions of cross-country and biathlon. The 37th edition of the historic "Trofeo delle Contrade", and the Pro race "1K Shot", took place on Friday 25th August.
In the Pro race, the Men cross-country skiing race, has been won for a second year in a row by the World Champion of Lathi Federico Pellegrino, that shows he has a really special feeling with Livigno's snow. The race has been also a farewell for Simone Urbani, the Livigno athlete that will leave the races world. Among the Women cross-country skiing, Gaia Vuerich beated in a final rush full of adrenaline the athlete Greta Laurent.
In the Men biathlon Dominik Windisch gained the 1st place, meanwhile in the women biathlon the crown went again on the head of our Queen, Dorothea Wierer.
Lots of autographs and photos for our Doro, that on the finish line met the other Queen of Livigno, the Divine Federica Pellegrini, that was spending her holidays on the Little Tibet. At the arrival there was also Giorgio Rocca, that certainly couldn't miss the traditional event of end of August.
Applause also for all the Italian and foreign champions who have embellished this competition, which has become a fixed event in the late summer and that is growing year after year. After the Pro race, the traditional "Trofeo delle Contrade" went on stage, as always highly appreciated by the public, especially for the amateurs competing with traditional costumes and vintage wooden skis. At the end of the event, Federica Pellegrini celebrated in Livigno with all the athletes the gold medal she won at the recent Budapest World Championships, that she prepared at the pool of Aquagranda Active You at 1816 meters.

O n the 25th August , a cross-country skiing trail will be created along roads which are usually dedicated to shopping for the traditional Trofeo delle Contrade - 1K Shot trophy . Dorothea Wierere and Federico Pellegrino will also be taking part.
