LIVIGNO SKYMARATHON 2021

The event will be held Saturday 19 June over 2 distances: 17 km and 34 km. Save the date! After the forced stop in 2020, the Skyrunning World Series circuit is ready to start again with one of its most spectacular races: the Livigno Skymarathon.

In these days, the organizing committee of the Skymarathon race on the border between Italy and Switzerland has confirmed the event. The date to save is Saturday 19th June.

A long-awaited news, a nice message of hope for all those skyrunners who, after a year stop at the pits, are now excited to restart:   It will certainly be a special edition and different from all the others, because this pandemic requires measures and limitations to which we will strictly adhere to protect our and your health - said Luca Moretti, CEO of Livigno Tourism Board -unfortunately, this year there will be no aggregative activities that have always characterized the event.  But the trails, the landscapes, the passages in altitude and the ridges remain unchanged and you won't miss this year either".

The Livigno Sky Trail of 17km (1000 m D+) is also confirmed; a race highly awaited by younger athletes, by those who love more accessible distances and by runners who are approaching the world of running in nature.

For obvious logistic reasons the participation to the two events will be limited (the organizing committee has foreseen a maximum number of 350 athletes for the Livigno Skymarathon and 100 athletes for the Livigno Sky Trail) and, since most of the bibs have been assigned to those who last year had decided to keep their registration fee valid, there are still few numbers to be assigned (100 for the long race and 50 for the short one). So hurry up, not to miss the opportunity to run one of the most beautiful races of the world circuit.

Breathtaking views, steep climbs, ridges, snow, technical descents and single tracks are waiting for you.
